Former FAU star Johnell Davis commits to Arkansas
Former Florida Atlantic guard Johnell Davis committed to Arkansas, he announced Wednesday on Instagram.
Davis played the last four seasons with Florida Atlantic, leading the Owls to a Final Four run in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
The 6-foot-4 senior averaged 18.2 points while shooting 41.4% from three to capture the 2023-24 AAC Player of the Year award. Florida Atlantic lost in the opening round of the 2024 NCAA tourney to Northwestern.
Davis moved on from the Owls after head coach Dusty May replaced Juwan Howard at Michigan.
The 22-year-old is the third high-profile transfer the Razorbacks landed since John Calipari took over the head coaching role in early April. Kentucky freshman Zvonimir Ivisic and Tennessee big man Jonas Aidoo also transferred to Arkansas.
Freshmen Billy Richmond, Boogie Fland, and Karter Knox also recently defected to Arkansas from Kentucky, Calipari's previous coaching gig.
