Women's Seeds Advancing

No. 1 Serena Williams defeats No. 24 Garbine Muguruza (2-6, 6-3, 6-2)
No. 11 Dominika Cibulkova defeats Victoria Azarenka (6-2, 3-6, 6-3)
No. 18 Venus Williams defeats No. 6 Agnieszka Radwanska (6-3, 2-6, 6-1)
Madison Keys defeats Madison Brengle (6-2, 6-4)

Notes: Cibulkova, who needed three sets to get by unranked Azarenka, played in the 2014 Australian Open final. ... Serena has battled back from a set down in back-to-back Grand Slam matches five times. ... With the win, Venus reached her first major quarterfinal since 2010. 

Men's Seeds Advancing

No. 1 Novak Djokovic defeats Gilles Muller (6-4, 7-5, 7-5)
No. 4 Stan Wawrinka defeats Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (7-6, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6)
No. 5 Kei Nishikori defeats No. 9 David Ferrer (6-3, 6-3, 6-3)
No. 8 Milos Raonic defeats No. 12 Feliciano Lopez (6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-7(7), 6-3)

Notes: Djokovic, the tournament's top seed, advanced to his 23rd straight Grand Slam quarterfinals, where he will take on Raonic. ... Wawrinka rallied from 0-5 down in the fourth-set tiebreaker to defeat Garcia-Lopez. The defending champion will now face Nishikori in the quarterfinals.
