PHOTO: Former German 'keeper takes up bodybuilding, considers joining WWE
Instead of sitting around and waiting for a new football contract, former German international 'keeper Tim Wiese kept himself busy and is now considering a career as a professional wrestler.
Wiese, who began bodybuilding when his contract with 1899 Hoffenheim was terminated in January, told German publication Bild that he's considering an offer from World Wrestling Entertainment.
“I have an official enquiry from the WWE," Wiese said, per The Guardian. "It’s about working for them as a wrestler. I will listen. I don’t s*** my pants. Why should I immediately say no? Wrestling is very popular, especially in the [United] States. I will go through the enquiry with my agent next week.”

Wiese appeared in six games for the German international team and was a member of the country's 2010 squad during the World Cup in South Africa.
It's hard to imagine that a physique such as Wiese's would even allow him to be an effective keeper in the Bundesliga, let alone any top flight league in Europe.

While numerous American football players have made the transition from the gridiron to the squared circle, Wiese could be the first European footballer to make the switch from the pitch.
