Mourinho can 'almost guarantee' he'll find a club this summer

Jose Mourinho expects to have a new job this summer, even if he doesn't quite know where he'll be.

Widely reported to be the next Manchester United manager, Mourinho kept his options open as he spoke with reporters Friday in Lisbon. He claims to have "good offers on the table," and everyone will know his next club by the end of the season.

"I can almost guarantee that I'll be working this summer," said Mourinho, according to ESPN FC. "After a few months to recharge my batteries, I'll be ready to go with everything I have to give."

After winning domestic titles in Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain, Mourinho could seek a new challenge in a new league. However, British reports indicate a pre-contract agreement exists between United and Mourinho, with multi-million-pound penalties in place if the Red Devils delay his appointment.

The 53-year-old is apparently seeking assurances after being fired from Chelsea in December.

"I'll take my ideas to where they are wanted. I need to feel comfortable and I like to be where I am truly wanted," he said. "I want to work in a club with responsibilities, I want to work in a club with a difficult league, where there are no easy targets."

De Telegraaf, however, believes the Old Trafford hierarchy has other plans. The Dutch newspaper suggested earlier this week that United had assured Louis van Gaal he would remain in charge of the club for the 2016-17 season - the last of his three-year deal.
