"The next Paul Scholes" is officially in the Premier League.
On Friday, AFC Bournemouth completed the signing of Lewis Cook from Leeds United, as the 19-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Cherries. According to Ben Fisher of the Guardian, the transfer's initial fee is valued at £6 million but the deal is expected to rise to near £10 million with add-ons.

Cook, a product of Leeds' academy who joined the club at the age of six, was apparently a long-term target for Eddie Howe, Bournemouth's manager, who personally scouted the teenager on several occasions last season. Dubbed as "the next Paul Scholes," he was allegedly also on the radars of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool.
"We're pleased to be bringing one of the country's brightest prospects to the club," Neil Blake, Bournemouth's chief executive, said. "Lewis has impressed since earning his spot in the Leeds United first team and we feel that he can continue his rapid progress under the tutelage of Eddie and Jason.
"He's represented England at youth level and won plenty of individual awards last season, we're excited to see him flourish further at Vitality Stadium over the next four years."
Bournemouth's signing of Cooke marks the Cherries' fourth acquisition of the summer following the Lys Mousset, Nathan Ake, and Emerson Hyndman.
