Scudamore has been at the center of torrid controversy after a number of his emails were leaked to the Sunday Mirror newspaper, in which he made a number of crude references to a female colleague.
Despite many calls for his resignation, the 17 Premier League clubs responsible for Monday's vote (the 3 relegated clubs were absent) decided that his transgressions did not warrant his dismissal.
