Alphonso Davies' agent has criticized Bayern Munich's tactics during contract negotiations, suggesting talks over a new deal could be in jeopardy after the Canadian star was given an "unfair" ultimatum.

Davies has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, but Bayern Munich have been eager to sign him to an extension beyond 2025 when his current deal expires.

"It's unfair to receive an ultimatum from Bayern," Nedal Huoseh said in an interview with German outlet Bild, as translated by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

"We will decide how to proceed at the end of the season when there is more clarity. It's unfair that Alphonso is now being attacked."

Bayern Munich sports director Max Eberl said last week that the club presented its final offer to the 23-year-old.

Huoseh revealed that Davies was close to agreeing to an extension "a year ago," but Bayern never followed up after key members of the club's front office were replaced.

"We didn't hear anything for seven months," Huoseh explained. "Although I tried during this time to contact the club myself.

"Now we are being given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and took a long time to reposition itself in the management? That's not fair."

"It's a very important contract in Alphonso's career, and we're supposed to make the decision without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team looks like."

Bayern have yet to announce a replacement for head coach Thomas Tuchel, who will step down this summer.

It was reported earlier in March that Davies verbally agreed to join Real Madrid either this summer or as a free transfer next summer.
