The Twittersphere rips Maddon after Baez botches bunt attempt
Chicago Cubs fans aren't impressed with Joe Maddon's decision to make Javier Baez bunt in the top of the ninth with the game tied. Even with two strikes and the tying run on third base, Baez insisted on bunting, leading to a bunted foul ball and strike three.
Twitter, as it always does, reacted accordingly.
I dare you to bunt, Baez.

Javier Báez not being able to lay down a suicide squeeze bunt and thus striking out on a foul is a ~very~ Cubs thing to happen.

Javier Baez surely thought this morning, "Tonight, I shall bunt to win the World Series."

Donovan McMabb doesn't know that NFL games can end in a tie. Javier Baez doesn't know you're out on a foul bunt with two strikes.

The new "I can't believe the Seahawks didn't run the ball" is "I can't believe they had Baez bunt on two strikes"
