Atlanta Braves right-hander Spencer Strider will start against the Colorado Rockies this weekend, manager Walt Weiss said Tuesday, according to Grant McAuley of 92.9 The Game.
However, the exact date of Strider's season debut hasn't been announced yet because the rotation still needs to be set for the three-game series.
Strider has been sidelined with an oblique strain since the end of spring training.
The 27-year-old posted a 1.93 ERA with 0.87 WHIP and 18 strikeouts over three minor-league rehab starts this season.
Strider, who finished fourth in 2023 NL Cy Young voting, logged a combined 134 1/3 innings between 2024 and 2025 due to multiple ailments, including his second major elbow surgery.
Strider's return should help a Braves team that has started 20-9 despite dealing with several key injuries again.
