Derek Jeter's final All-Star Game isn't a walk in the park for the 20-year veteran. This is no simple "take your swings, tip your cap and go home" affair.
No, Jeter was put to work on the game's second pitch, ranging to his left, laying out and nabbing a would-be Andrew McCutchen single. Unfortunately, that would-be single was a single, as first base umpire Jeff Nelson clearly lost his sense of the moment and called the NL MVP safe on a bang-bang play.
