The atmosphere at Kauffman Stadium was decidedly electric Tuesday night, prompting two members of the Kansas City Royals to show their gratitude to the hometown fans after completing an improbable comeback to seal a 9-8 victory over the Oakland Athletics in the American League wild-card game.
James Shields, conversely, opted to celebrate his team's victory by cracking open a cold one and taking in the delicious afterglow of the comeback victory.
