Royals exercise $7M option on Wade Davis

The Kansas City Royals aren't wasting time locking up one of their top arms out of the bullpen.
The team exercised its $7 million option on reliever Wade Davis on Monday.
Davis was part of a three-headed monster out of the 'pen for the Royals that was instrumental in the team's 2014 playoff run.
The 29-year-old posted a 1.00 ERA in 71 regular-season appearances and recorded 33 holds as manager Ned Yost's setup man.
