Major league teams looking to upgrade at the shortstop position will have to wait until December to negotiate with Korean standout Jung-Ho Kang.

Kang hit .354 with 39 home runs and 115 RBIs last season in the Korean Baseball Organization, which is a notoriously hitter-friendly league.
The New York Yankees are reported to be very interested in Kang's services after the retirement of Derek Jeter. But the club will have to win the bid with Kang's old team, the Nexen Heroes.
The delay in Kang's posting will put MLB clubs in a tough position. Do they act now and sign one of the free agent shortstops available, or hold out in hopes of snagging Kang in December?
