Report: Red Sox willing to offer a 6-year deal to Jon Lester
The Red Sox are reportedly increasing their efforts to bring Jon Lester back to Boston.
I know how hard this is to believe but a well-placed source predicted that Red Sox will re-sign Lester, and may go up to 6 yrs to do so

Lester was dealt to the Oakland Athletics at the trade deadline in exchange for Yoenis Cespedes, and bringing the beloved left-hander back into the mix in Beantown for 2015 would send the Fenway faithful into a frenzy.
The two sides talked about a contract extension last season, but the Red Sox low-balled Lester with a reported four-year deal worth between $70 million and $80 million.
Lester was an integral part of Boston's 2007 and 2013 championship teams, but, as reported by the Providence Journal, it could take a six-year deal worth around $120 million to take him off the market.
