Report: Rockies shopping catcher Wilin Rosario
Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports
The Colorado Rockies are reportedly trying to move power-hitting catcher Wilin Rosario, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
Rosario, whom Rosenthal said the Rockies contemplated converting to the outfield last season, is considered a poor defensive catcher and has greatly benefited from playing at hitter-friendly Coors Field.
Although Rosario has severe home-road splits, he ranks first among catchers since 2012 in isolated power (.207) and third in home runs (62).
The 25-year-old is projected to earn $3.6 million in his first year of arbitration eligiblity.
