Latos, who is in his final year of arbitration, is coming off an injury-plagued campaign that limited the right-hander to 102 1/3 innings. He began the season on the disabled list following left knee surgery and missed the final 21 games with inflammation of his right elbow.
In 16 starts for the Reds, Latos posted a 5-5 record to go with a 3.25 ERA and 74 strikeouts. With the exception of last year, Latos has averaged 199 innings per season since 2010.
Latos is the second starter acquired by the Marlins in the last two days. Right-hander Dan Haren was involved in a seven-player deal from the Los Angeles Dodgers but it is unknown whether he will play for Miami or retire.
DeSclafani posted a 2-2 record and 6.27 ERA in 13 appearances for Miami in 2014. The 24-year-old split the majority of 2014 between Double and Triple-A, going 6-7 in 20 games, while fashioning a 3.78 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 102 1/3 innings.
Wallach appeared in 78 games in Single-A last season, slashing .321/.430/.476 with seven home runs and 49 RBIs.
