Orioles' Wesley Wright out 4-6 weeks with shoulder inflammation
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports
Baltimore Orioles reliever Wesley Wright will be out four-to-six weeks after an MRI revealed inflammation in his left shoulder.
Wright, who signed with the Orioles during the offseason after getting non-tendered by the Chicago Cubs, made two appearances with Baltimore before the shoulder injury knocked him out.
The eight-year veteran pitched to a 3.44 ERA over the last two seasons, while striking out 8.1 batters per nine innings.
Brian Matusz is currently the lone left-handed reliever on the Orioles' active roster to bridge the gap to fellow southpaw and closer Zach Britton.
