Royals activate Hochevar from DL; option Finnegan back to Double-A

An already stacked Kansas City Royals bullpen just got even better.
The club has activated right-hander Luke Hochevar from the disabled list prior to Thursday's tilt with the Cleveland Indians.
It's been a long road back to the mound for Hochevar, who is completing his comeback from Tommy John surgery. The 31-year-old reliever posted a 1.92 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 58 appearances in 2013 before going under the knife.
His role in the bullpen moving forward is unclear, but he's perhaps best suited in a middle-relief role.
Southpaw Brandon Finnegan has been demoted to Double-A to make room on the 25-man roster for Hochevar.
Kansas City relievers have once again been dominant this season, posting a 1.57 ERA over 91 2/3 innings.
