David Wright has encountered another injury setback.
The New York Mets third baseman will be shut down for another week with a lower-back problem, according to ESPN's Adam Rubin.
Wright experienced renewed soreness in his back after taking batting practice Friday.
The Mets captain has been on the disabled list since April 15 with a hamstring injury, and experienced lower-back tightness while rehabbing the injury. He was slated to begin a rehab assignment next week along with catcher Travis d'Arnaud (finger).
New York is 19-16 since Wright hit the DL.
