The market for free-agent hurler Rafael Soriano is heating up.
The Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, and Chicago Cubs are in a race to sign the veteran closer before he holds an open throwing session in the Dominican Republic on June 11, reports The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo.
Soriano recently dumped agent Scott Boras in favor of new representation, sparking renewed interest in the veteran righty.
The 35-year-old has 207 career saves to his credit with 32 of those coming last season for the Washington Nationals.
