St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina couldn't hold his tongue after Miguel Montero gave the Chicago Cubs a 5-4 lead with a bases-clearing, three-run double in the sixth inning Wednesday night.

Incensed he didn't get the strike call on the previous pitch, Molina erupted after Montero deposited a line drive into the right-center gap at Wrigley Field, angrily confronting Pat Hoberg about his strike zone before the play even ended.

Molina, a seven-time All-Star, was ejected for the first time in more than two years after voicing his displeasure with Hoberg's judgment behind the plate. Moments later, after bursting out of the dugout to defend his catcher, manager Mike Matheny was also sent for an early shower.

Interestingly, the last time Molina was ejected - during a game against the San Francisco Giants on June 2, 2013 – Matheny, then in his second season as manager, was also ejected.
