David Ortiz expected to return to Red Sox lineup Friday vs. Angels after illness

The All-Star break couldn't have come at a better time for David Ortiz.
The Boston Red Sox slugger is feeling better after sitting out last Sunday's first-half finale with the New York Yankees due to a respiratory infection, and is expected to play Friday against the Los Angeles Angels.
Ortiz is hitting only .231/.326/.435 through 80 games, but has 15 homers and 43 RBIs to his credit.
Big Papi was called on to play some first base just prior to the break with Mike Napoli struggling at the plate, but he's expected to assume his usual designated hitter role moving forward.
