VIDEO: Napoli ejected after thrown helmet hits umpire
David Butler II / USA TODAY Sports
An unfortunate bounce led to an early exit for Boston Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli on Monday.
Napoli wasn't impressed after striking out against Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks to end the first inning, and threw his hands in the air in disgust before tossing his equipment on the ground. Napoli's helmet bounced off the ground and grazed the leg of home plate umpire Toby Basner, leading to Napoli's ejection.
