PHOTOS: Syndergaard gives fans hair scare

Not only is the New York Mets starting rotation one of the most dominant in baseball, the group is also known for having the best hair in the majors.

Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard, nicknamed "Thor" for his long, flowing locks and ability to drop the hammer on opposing hitters, teased his Instagram followers Wednesday with the prospect of a significant haircut.

Thankfully, Syndergaard just received a trim, leaving his mane intact.

Fellow righty Jacob deGrom may also be in the market for a new look this offseason.
