Weidman doesn't care who's next as long as he fights at Madison Square Garden

Chris Weidman isn't concerned with the identity of his next challenger for the UFC middleweight crown, as long as the bout is contested inside "The World's Most Famous Arena."

"I tell you what: I'm not missing the Madison Square Garden fight; that's for sure," the native New Yorker said following UFC 187, according to MMAjunkie.com. "That's all I really care about. People are asking about Jacare or Rockhold. It honestly doesn't matter. I want to fight either one of them, but in Madison Square Garden.

"That's the dream, so that's really the focus."

New York has long been the lone holdout in the United States for the legalization of mixed martial arts, though it appears that is finally coming to an end.

Weidman survived some early pressure and absolutely dismantled Vitor Belfort in the co-main event at UFC 187 on Saturday night, taking "The Young Dinosaur" down and finishing him with a vicious volley of fists and elbows from full mount.

With Belfort finally in Weidman's rear-view, he'll likely face streaking American Kickboxing Academy product Luke Rockhold before the end of 2015.
