UFC women's strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk won't need surgery for the broken thumb she suffered in her title defense against Jessica Penne on June 20, according to a post from her Instagram account.

The Polish mixed martial artist absolutely obliterated her American opponent at UFC Fight Night 69 despite the thumb injury, most likely from connecting with a flurry of strikes.

It was previously reported the Berkut Arrachion Olsztyn team member would undergo surgery in Los Angeles, potentially setting her back some time among the division. Fortunately, that's not the case.

Jedrzejczyk maintains a flawless UFC record of 4-0.
