Kobe Bryant put on a vintage performance in his final game in Houston on Saturday and was greeted by Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon before leaving the court.
The Lakers star credits Olajuwon for elevating his post play early on in his career. The pair worked out during the offseason in 2009 and Bryant believes Olajuwon's mentorship went a long way in shaping his career.
"My first 30 minutes working together, he knew I understood what he was saying," Bryant told Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News on Saturday. "It was the smallest details of things. From that, I got a lot out of it."
Bryant scored 35 points on 10-of-22 shooting in the loss to the Rockets.
