Silver: Hornets jerseys likely to feature Jordan logo, not Nike's

The NBA officially announced Friday that beginning in 2017-18, and for at least two seasons thereafter, teams will be allowed to sell ad space on their jerseys to corporate sponsors.
The sponsorship logo will sit adjacent to that of Nike - which is taking over as the NBA's uniform supplier that same season - with one notable exception. The Charlotte Hornets, because they're majority-owned by Michael Jordan, will likely be repping the Jumpman instead of the Swoosh.
"Because their owner happens to have his own brand, which is part of Nike, Brand Jordan," commissioner Adam Silver said at his Board of Governors press conference, "we're in discussions that Brand Jordan will be represented on the Charlotte Hornets uniforms."
