Terry guaranteeing Rockets win over Warriors in Game 5
Jason Terry is confident in the face of elimination.
The Houston Rockets guard believes firmly that his team will extend their season Wednesday with a win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 5.
"I'm guaranteeing it," Terry told reporters. "If I don't, then what? It's a loss, right. I guarantee victory - that's what it's going to take. I believe in my group. I know we can get a win here and send this thing back to Houston."
The eight-seed Rockets managed to eek out a one-point win in Game 3, but were blown out 121-94 in Game 4. They'll receive a break for the remainder of the series as Warriors guard and reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry is out at least two weeks with a sprained knee.
Houston certainly has the deck stacked against it, even without Curry in the lineup. Golden State lost just two games at home during the regular season and outscored the Rockets by 35 points in the first two games at Oracle Arena in the series.
Still, Terry isn't wavering confidence.
"I'm saying right here in front of everybody, I'm getting a tattoo of a Rockets trophy if we pull this thing out," Terry joked. "You (heard) it here first."
