Kobe's final game towel up for auction
One lucky bidder will soon be the owner of a sweaty piece of Mamba history.
Heritage Auctions is selling the final game towel Kobe Bryant wore during his farewell speech, with bidding starting at $5,000. Included with the towel are a pair of tickets to Kobe's final NBA game.
The towel measures 24x41" in size and exhibits light staining from its brush with greatness, perfectly matching all footage of the day. Included with the towel are our consignors two tickets to the game, section 117, Row D, seats 6 & 7, perfectly positioned on the rail of the tunnel for an encounter with Kobe. Lakers fans set a world-record by purchasing over $1.2 million in Kobe merchandise at the Staples Center during his farewell game. With his uniform and sneakers from the game unlikely to make it to market, this towel represents the most significant piece of Kobe memorabilia made available from his historic farewell night. A letter of provenance from the consignor will accompany the lot.
Bidding ends at 10 p.m. CT on May 14.
