Draymond practicing not getting technical fouls
Draymond Green understands that he's the most effective to the Golden State Warriors success when he's able to stay on the court.
Already assessed four technical fouls this postseason, Green told reporters at practice Sunday that he has been attempting to calm his temper in practice when coaches were making bad calls during the scrimmage. Green, however, hopes to get no more than five technicals for the remainder of the season. He would receive a one-game suspension should he be issued a seventh.
The Warriors open their Western Conference finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. The Thunder were involved in a highly physical opening-round series with the Dallas Mavericks, and are coming off a six-game series win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Green will likely see time matching up against Thunder center Steven Adams, and he's prepared for the encounter to get physical.
"I'm sure he'll try (to get me T'd up)," Green told reporters. "I may get him one."
Green led the league in technical fouls during the regular season with 20.
