OAKLAND, Calif. - When it comes to getting around town, two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry says he is just like everybody else: He uses Uber.
The Golden State Warriors star says he was speaking with one of his drivers just the other day about the love that Bay Area people have for the local sports teams.
Uber is a San Francisco-based company that allows users to hail rides from their mobile phones.
Curry says he can't even describe the reaction he gets from drivers when he jumps into the backseat for a ride. He says he laughs at how surprised they are to see one of the most popular athletes in the world sitting right there.
The Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.
