Kobe still can't believe he scored 60 in final game
Almost two months after dropping 60 points in the final game of his NBA career, Kobe Bryant remains in disbelief.
"I still can't believe it happened," Bryant told reporters Wednesday. "I don't know where the hell it came from. There were no signs of that happening."
Bryant's performance earned him bragging rights as he became the oldest player in NBA history to score 60 in a game. He also set a career high firing 50 shots.
What's more impressive, the 37-year-old managed to log 42 minutes in his farewell, as he was willed by the capacity crowd - including his wife and children - at Staples Center, which Bryant admitted was the most special part of the night.
"My kids got the change to experience the younger Kobe for once," he said. "I got a chance to be cool in front of them for once."
Though his playing days are over, Bryant hasn't stopped working. He's been heavily involved with his publishing and production company and was on hand Wednesday for the unveiling of the NBA 2K17 cover athlete, of which he will serve as the representative for the Legends Edition.
