Report: Bulls won't move Butler unless return includes Wiggins
The Chicago Bulls won't part ways with Jimmy Butler for anything less than a star-studded package.
With NBA draft just around the corner, The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly dangling their No. 5 pick in this year's draft in hopes of re-uniting Butler with head coach Tom Thibodeau.
However, the Bulls won't make the move unless Andrew Wiggins is included in the deal, 1500 ESPN's Darren Wolfson reports.
Wiggins took significant strides in his sophomore season after winning Rookie of the Year honors in 2015. He bumped his scoring average to 20.7 points while remaining remarkably durable, as he's missed just one game in his two seasons in the NBA.
Along with star center Karl-Anthony Towns, Wiggins represents the bright future that lays in wait for Minnesota.
Moving Wiggins, even for a two-time All-Star like Butler, would be inconceivable. Butler is the better player for now, but he'll be nearing his thirties when the rest of the Timberwolves' prospects are hitting their primes.
