Report: Knicks have discussed trading for Derrick Rose
The New York Knicks have had internal discussions regarding a potential trade for Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, reports ESPN's Ian Begley, citing league sources. The Bulls' interest in dealing Rose isn't known.
Given the Knicks' point guard play in recent years, it should come as no surprise the team is interested in acquiring Rose. The former MVP has taken a step back following a series of injuries, but the 27-year-old still averaged 16.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 2015-16.

Newly hired head coach Jeff Hornacek and general manager Steve Mills have already stated their intentions to upgrade the point guard position, with Jose Calderon likely wearing out his welcome following two sub-par seasons in the Big Apple.
Rose has one year left on his contract at $21,323,252 million, so any potential deal would require the Knicks to give back a significant chunk in salaries.
New York is without a first-round pick in this year's draft, and will need to acquire a point guard either by trade or in free agency to find a suitable upgrade.
