Doctors told Bosh his career was likely over in February
After encountering his second bout of blood clotting in as many years in February, Chris Bosh's future in the NBA looked bleak. But the Miami Heat big man refused to accept doctors' predictions that he would never play again.
"They told me that my season's over, my career is probably over, and, yeah, this just happens, this is just how it is," Bosh said in a self-directed documentary on The Uninterrupted. "I felt right away that I was written off. It was just so just ... put it to the side, and matter-of-factly. If a doctor tells me, 'Hey, that's it, and this is how it is,' and I don't buy that, I think that I have the right to disagree with you. I know inside me I have a lot of talent and a lot of ability. And I have it, I know I have it. It wasn't a matter of if I want to play again, it's when. So, we took the bull by the horns."

While the Heat have remained quiet in regards to Bosh's future, the 32-year-old publicly stated earlier this month that he's ready to play, and expects to be cleared in the coming days.
He's undergoing physicals with the team, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, but Heat officials have yet to make an official announcement on his health.
Miami opens training camp Tuesday at The Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in Nassau, Bahamas.
