Durant: I cared too much about the feelings of OKC fans, teammates
Having faced and defeated his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammates, Kevin Durant is ready to move forward, not look back.
That progress means the seven-time All-Star is no longer worrying about hurt feelings. "One thing I was doing too much of was I was trying to be delicate with everyone’s feelings, especially the fan base in OKC, and my former teammates," Durant told The Undefeated's Marc Spears.
"I had to realize that they don’t care. They’re going to dissect what they’re going to dissect. I was trying to be really considerate of their feelings and everything."
In the aftermath of Durant's decision to flee OKC for the Bay Area, some Thunder fans burned and shot at the Durant jersey they once proudly donned. Former teammates like Russell Westbrook and Enes Kanter, meanwhile, have taken what appear to be veiled shots at Durant.

Many of Durant's comments since his summer move have also been seen as potential jabs at the Thunder, most notably his praise of how selfless the Warriors are.
Durant took the first step in silencing all the "he-said, he-said" drama on Thursday by torching the Thunder for 39 points on 15-of-24 shooting as part of a 122-96 rout.
