Report: Hawks engaged in Millsap trade talks with several teams
The Atlanta Hawks appear to be having a fire sale.
As they finalize a deal to send shooting guard Kyle Korver to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Hawks are also actively engaged in trade talks with several teams regarding All-Star power forward Paul Millsap, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Sacramento Kings are one of the teams going after Millsap, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Other teams who have recently been connected to Millsap talks are the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors.
The Hawks reportedly started listening to offers on the 31-year-old - an impending unrestricted free agent - last week, having already dangled him in the offseason and at last year's trade deadline. They reportedly had a deal in place to send him to the Raptors this past summer before Al Horford opted to leave Atlanta and sign with the Boston Celtics.
Millsap, an All-Defensive second-teamer last year, is averaging 17.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.6 steals for the Hawks this season.
