The Indiana Pacers were less than half a minute away from closing out their fifth straight win on Saturday night at home against the New York Knicks before things got heated.
With New York inbounding the ball along the baseline, guard Brandon Jennings shoved Joe Young as retaliation for what he presumably believed to be unnecessary pressing in a game that had basically been decided.
Young then began chirping at Jennings, who ran toward him before a referee intervened and kept the two apart.
Both players received technical fouls for the altercation, and were ejected shortly thereafter to restore order.
Jennings scored 17 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out four assists for New York in a 123-109 loss, while Young was just on the floor to run out the clock in garbage time, picking up a single assist in under a minute.
