Smush Parker makes case to play with Kobe, Lamar Odom in BIG3
The BIG3 3-on-3 league movement is gaining traction and Smush Parker thinks he's got his team figured out.
The 35-year-old believes he can take the whole tournament with Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom in his trifecta.
"We would take the whole thing," Parker told TMZ Sports. "With Kobe being a leader out there, we've got an all-purpose player in Lamar Odom and with my precise sharp-shooting from the outside, we're well-balanced. And we all play defense."
TMZ questioned Parker's relationship with Bryant, as the two played together for two seasons from 2005-2007 and it wasn't pretty. Bryant called Parker "the worst" in 2012.
"That's water under the bridge for me," Parker, who was waived by the Clippers in 2008, said. "Back then we were both immature versions of who we are today and for me, I could definitely have handled the situation better and if I had another chance I would handle the situation better. We work well together and I wholeheartedly, no doubt in my mind know we could have been the best backcourt in Lakers history."
The league is set to start this June for a 10-week season that will play on Saturdays.
