Oakley: Dolan rejected my offer to end feud
Charles Oakley has apparently been trying to end his long-standing beef with James Dolan for quite some time.
The former NBA player says he's tried to meet with the Knicks owner on multiple occasions in attempts to clear the air, only to have his requests declined.
"He don't want to meet with me," Oakley told The Undefeated's Mike Wise. "Man won't even shake my hand."
The tension between the two reached its boiling point Wednesday when Oakley was forcibly ejected from Madison Square Garden - reportedly at Dolan's request. The ex-Knick has since been charged with one count of criminal trespassing and three counts of misdemeanor assault.

Oakley apologized for the incident, saying he didn't want it to blow up the way it did.
"I want to say I'm sorry to all the fans of the Garden. I never want to be a troublemaker in life," Oakley told Stephen A. Smith on ESPN-NY Radio.
He told Wise, "I shouldn't have put my hands on anyone, but how (the Knicks) are saying it happened isn't how it happened."
It isn't the first time Oakley has had to deal with MSG security, as Dolan made it clear that the 53-year-old was no longer welcome at a game last season.
"Whenever I go to the Garden now, security has been told to inform him immediately," Oakley said. "Last year against Charlotte, I went to a game and a bunch of security people came up to me right away and told me not to walk around, stay where I am. He just doesn't want me in the building."
