Charles Oakley's misdemeanor charges for assault and trespassing will be worked out in court in the future, but his attorney may also have litigation in mind regarding what Madison Square Garden says caused the former Knicks star's ejection and arrest during Wednesday's game.
"I'll deal with it in court," Alex Spiro said when asked about MSG chairman James Dolan's claim that Oakley's problematic anger and drinking caused the incident, according to ESPN's Ian Begley.
Oakley said he would be holding a press conference next week.
Spiro represented Atlanta Hawks swingman Thabo Sefolosha after his 2015 arrest outside a Manhattan nightclub. They later sued the NYPD over the season-ending leg injury Sefolosha suffered during the arrest.
