Melo replaces injured Love at All-Star Game
The oft-rumored Kevin Love for Carmelo Anthony finally came to fruition, but it's not the one Phil Jackson has been dreaming of.
Anthony will serve as Love's injury replacement for the Eastern Conference at the 2017 All-Star Game in New Orleans this weekend, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein, citing league sources.
The NBA announced the swap shortly thereafter.

The two names have been inexorably linked through trade talks, although it appears unlikely that any move will be consummated. The Knicks are reportedly coveting Love, but the Cavs are unwilling to make that swap for Anthony.
Love was selected as a reserve by the coaches, but he is suffering from a knee injury that is expected to hold him out for roughly six weeks.
This year's midseason showcase will mark Anthony's 10th straight All-Star appearance, and the 12th nod of his career.
