Kings GM in 'NBA 2K17' won't trade Cousins for Pelicans' real-life offer
Does a virtual general manager in a basketball simulation video game have more sense than someone actually running an NBA franchise?
Perhaps.
The Sacramento Kings shocked the masses Sunday night with their reported trade of All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans for rookie Buddy Hield, former King Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, and two draft picks.

Now if the Pelicans were to make that same offer to Sacramento in 2K Sports' "NBA 2K17" video game, Kings management would scoff at the suggestion and turn their attention elsewhere.

"DeMarcus Cousins is someone we consider untouchable. The only way I accept a trade for him is if I’m blown away and this one doesn’t do that," says the GM in the game.
Vivek Ranadivé and Vlade Divac clearly don't own next-gen consoles.
