Jazz's Gobert suffers bone bruise, hyperextended knee
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert left Game 1 of the playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers after banging knees with Luc Richard Mbah a Moute just 11 seconds into the game and did not return.
Gobert went for an MRI following Utah's 97-95 win where it was revealed he suffered a bone bruise and hyperextended left knee, but there was no structural damage, according to the team.

Gobert, who had to be helped off the court by teammates, was originally diagnosed with a left knee sprain and ruled out for the rest of the game.
Jazz fans will be crossing their fingers that the injury won't keep him out too long. No structural damage is a good sign, but a bone bruise is a lingering type of injury that can take a while to heal. Utah has faced injury obstacles all season, but losing Gobert for an extended period during the playoffs would all but end their postseason chances.
