Seth Curry eager to play after signing 10-day contract with Cavs

Seth Curry has 10 days to show the Cleveland Cavaliers what he's capable of, and he should get ample opportunity given the team's recent rash of injuries.

The Cavs will be without five players for Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets, including Luol Deng and C.J. Miles, and signed Curry to a 10-day contract Friday to help alleviate their injury situation.

"Normally in a situation like this you bring a guy in for a 10-day, [you're] usually doing that just to take a look at them," head coach Mike Brown said, via Jodie Valade of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "The minutes may not be there, but obviously there's an opportunity he may play. He can shoot the ball, and he's got a great feel for the game. He's a really good passer.

"There's some little things he can help us with out on the floor, but only time will see how many minutes he gets for us with the bodies we have that are banged up."

The 6-foot-1 shooting guard, younger brother of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, participated in his first shootaround Saturday and will be available against the Rockets.

"It's an opportunity to come in and show what I can do, come in and work hard in practice," Curry said. "Try to get better and just try to get up here on the NBA level and try to show my skills. And hopefully get an opportunity to come out here and play."
