No Pacers starter will play Wednesday vs. Bucks
The Indiana Pacers starting lineup will look a little different on Wednesday night when they face the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Pacers will rest all five of their starters.
This comes one day after head coach Frank Vogel rested all five in practice.
George Hill, Lance Stephenson, Paul George, David West and Roy Hibbert were all held out of Wednesday morning's shootaround as well.
“We’re going to rest them and try to heal up some various bumps and bruises involved with all five guys," Vogel said, via Pacers.com.
“We’re not playing well as a basketball team right now and the starters aren’t playing well," he added. "Our bench is not playing well. We want to try to get the starters on track by getting their legs back under them and getting them healed up.”
But all five of them?
“If you sit one or two guys for the game, nobody ever finds a rhythm,” Vogel said.
The Pacers have been in a downward spiral over the last three weeks. They have lost 10 of their last 14 games, prompting Vogel to admit Hibbert may be "worn down".
The Bucks have lost five straight games and 13 of their last 14.
Indiana has clinched a playoff spot and holds a 7 1/2-game lead over the Toronto Raptors for the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
