Mark Jackson denies attempts to ban Jerry West from practice
The winds of turmoil continue to swirl around Mark Jackson's position as head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
Having already dismissed a pair of assistant coaches during the season, Jackson is now answering questions about his alleged requests to have Jerry West removed from team practices and activities.
Grantland reported that Jackson had attempted to keep West, a Hall of Famer and Warriors basketball advisor, away from the Warriors players, and Tuesday night Jackson refuted the idea.
"That's a lie," Jackson told USA TODAY Sports "Come on. That's a lie. That's disrespectful... He has been at the practices. He's there. That's a flat-out lie."
Regardless of the validity of the claims, the amount of issues Jackson has run into this season on the Warriors bench make it a very poorly kept secret that he could be out of a job after the playoff run ends.
