NBA draft prospect Noah Vonleh has 2nd-widest hands ever measured at combine
A lot was made of the size of Milwaukee Bucks rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo's hands this season, and it became a bit of a running gag.
Well, Antetokounmpo may have some competition in the hand size department this coming season, as Indiana product Noah Vonleh's mitts measured as the second biggest in the history of the draft combine Thursday.
Vonleh's hands topped all 2014 prospects in length and width at the combine. The 6-foot-8 forward's hands measured 9.75 inches in length and 11.75 inches in width, the latter ranking as the second-widest ever measured at the combine, behind only Greg Smith in 2011. The length is also elite, ranking in the 90th percentile dating back to 2010.
Vonleh also stood out by recording the second-longest wingspan in the entire class at 7-foot-4.25 despite standing 6-foot-8 without shoes. His weight of 247 pounds also puts him into "NBA-ready body" territory. And those mitts!
Antetokounmpo's hands, however, are rumored to be nearly 15-inches long, though that has to be an exaggeration considering they're 33 percent longer than the next-longest hand ever measured.
Anyway, expect Vonleh to be able to corral rebounds with one hand like it's no big deal, and if he ends up on the Bucks, get ready for some of the most epic high fives you've ever seen.
