Dante Exum believes his game resembles Russell Westbrook, Manu Ginobili
With the NBA Draft only weeks away, one of the players garnering the most attention is Australia's Dante Exum.
Many basketball people don't know a whole lot about Exum. He was one of the most heavily critiqued players at the recent NBA Draft Combine, with many pro scouts getting their first live look at the 6-foot-6 guard.
Exum is expected to be the first guard off the board on June 26, and if he's anything like the players he compares himself to, he'll be well worth it.
Here's who Exum told Basketball Insiders' Alex Kennedy his game resembles most on the court, via College Spun.
I can’t look at one player and say that’s who I play like, but I can see different traits that players have that I see: I look at Russell Westbook as that explosive point guard that can get to the rim, and also Manu Ginobili when he gets into the paint and the way he can finish. It’s just looking at different players and what they can do, and how that can help my game.
With Westbrook going off in this year's playoffs, and Manu Ginobili helping the Spurs to multiple championships over the last decade, the prospect of bringing in a player like that must be promising for scouts across the league.
